About Us:

The history of our barn dates back to 1889 when James Lewis homesteaded 280 acres. The owners over the years include Jerry McWilliams, a State Senator and Nicolas Lakuska, a Russian Count who originally registered the name Pine Grove Ranch in 1920.

The Nefgzer Cattle Co. operated the ranch from 1930 until it was sold in February 1971.  It was then was renovated and opened as Pine Grove Ranch Restaurant.  In 1990, Jeff Little purchased the restaurant and changed the name to The Ore House at the Pine Grove Restaurant.  Diane Burns and Dan Emert have since become part owners and managers of the restaurant.

We hope you get as much pleasure out of your visit to the Ore House at the Pine Grove as we have preserving its heritage and serving some of the finest food in the Yampa Valley.

The Ore House at the Pine Grove has been the leader in the large party business for over 38 years.  We cater to groups ranging from 12 to 275 people with a selection of rooms to choose from.  During the summer months our beautiful deck and backyard are also available for outdoor events.  Please call to check availability and allow us to answer any questions you may have.
